I've been going to @4 Networking for quite a while now, and it’s honestly my favourite networking group. What I love most is the relaxed, friendly atmosphere—it doesn’t feel like a typical networking event. We meet in different, really nice places that I might never have discovered otherwise, and it's always a refreshing change. I’ve made some great contacts and even some friends through the group. It's also nice that we’re not just sitting at a table doing one-minute pitches—there’s more of a natural flow where we mix, chat, and connect in a much more genuine way. I’ve been coming to @4 for Bristol events on and off for years - since well before Covid - and it’s always been one of the most welcoming, relaxed groups around. It originally appealed to me because it offered something different: a Friday 4pm social for those of us not based in big offices, who still wanted that ‘post-work drinks’ feeling with good company. It naturally attracted lots of friendly, interesting small business owners and solo-preneurs, people who, like me, fancied a bit of a work social life without the hard sell.

While it’s evolved more into a networking group, it’s still got that easygoing, fun atmosphere. You can absolutely come along on your own and feel right at home. Jack, Tucks and Melissa do a brilliant job of mixing things up with new venues and fresh ways to experience Bristol’s business and social scene. I always leave having had a good chat, a laugh, and a sense of connection - which, frankly, is what it’s all about. Highly recommended.

When I first got invited to an @4 network event, I'll be honest - I was pretty skeptical. As someone running a social enterprise, I wasn't sure how a business networking group would fit with what we do at BXCELLENCE CIC.

But wow, was I wrong! From day one, the @4 crew made me feel right at home. What really stands out is how this isn't just your typical networking scene - it's a genuine community where people actually care about making a difference.

Despite being from the charity sector, everyone was super interested in our mission. They didn't just listen - they actively helped us raise funds to support young people and marginalised communities.
